Using an equity framework, V-FIRST will implement an inclusive faculty search process that proactively identifies early career scientists from marginalized backgrounds, equitably evaluates candidates, removes barriers to applying, provides well-resourced start-up packages, and delivers culturally responsive career development.
V-FIRST will help transform Vanderbilt into an institution with a thriving, diverse scientific faculty and a sustainable institutional culture of inclusivity and excellence.
